How to set up Microsoft Outlook to an account SBC Global

Outlook allows users to send and receive email, create and manage calendars, maintain address books, and much more. It also supports the use of a wide range of types of e-mail accounts, including POP3 protocol used by SBC and its global email providers, Yahoo Mail. Once you understand the steps necessary to configure your account SBC Global Outlook becomes a quick task.


1 Open Microsoft Outlook.

2 Click on “Tools” in the top menu bar and select “Email Accounts.”

3 Select “Add a new e-mail account” and click “Next”.

4 Select “POP3” and click “Next”.

5 Enter the name and email address in the corresponding fields SBC Global.

6 Type “” (without quotation marks) in the “Incoming mail server (POP3)” and “” (without quotation marks) in the “Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP ) “field.

7 Enter your user name in the corresponding field. Do not include “@”

8 Enter your password in the corresponding field.

9 Click on the “More Settings”.

10 Select the “General” tab.

11 Give your newly created account a name in the “Mail Account”.

12 Select the “Outgoing Server”.

13 Select the “Outgoing mail server (SMTP) requires authentication” and click on “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”.

14 Click “OK”.

15 Click on “Next”.

16 Click on “Finish”. You can now send and receive e-mail messages in Outlook using your account SBC Global.
